Ram has added the limited edition Ignition Orange Sport and Black Sport variants to its 1500 pick-up range. Both so-called 'buzz' models come in crew cab form only. Their standard specifications include a 5.7 litre Hemi V8 engine and an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, while four-wheel drive is optionally available.

As well as its bright orange paintwork, the 1500 Ignition Orange Sport is distinguished by a matte black bonnet decal. Inside, the same vivid shade is used for the seat inserts, stitching and embroidery.

Unsurprisingly the 1500 Black Sport features an all-black colour scheme that extends to the grille inserts and 20” wheels. It's a similar story for the interior, although some dark chrome trim attempts to alleviate the blackness.

In the United States, pricing for the Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab starts from $42,215 (inclusive of a destination charge). Ordering either the Ignition Orange or Black packages will increase that figure by $1,595.

Production of each is being restricted to 1,000 examples.
